The department provides its students with the competitive edge they need to succeed in today's environment. The faculty of the department is rich with experience in various fields of computer science namely networking, image processing, artificial intelligence, programming, etc.
With the objective of being responsive to needs of industries, the course goes beyond fulfilling the syllabus requirements of the University and offers students opportunities to work on different hardware and software platforms prevalent in industry.
The department provides facility to access the information on the latest trends and developments in information technology, Seminars, Group Discussions and Software Contests are regularly organized for the benefit of students to face the challenges in Software field.
All the computer systems are connected in Windows-NT environment with 533 MHz to 1.7 GHz Pentium III and IV processors and latest legal software. The Computer Center is also having internet facility for the use of students and staff. All the laboratories are fully air conditioned and provided with State of the Art seating facilities.

The year 2004 definitely heralded the coming to age of Computer Applications Industry. In times of recession, the Applications Industry never halted. Keeping in view of the ever growing demand in Computer applications our college has started MCA course during the A.Y.2004. A new Applications Lab was established with 60 nos. latest P-IV processors & new software with a version to provide interaction of latest technologies and trends. With the fast changing ways of business, there has been a tremendous increase in demand for application software. Software cannot be left to the manufactures, it has to the produced by creative people. So the work of software development is a human-intensive activity. To meet the needs of the above requirements we need a lot of people to undertake this activity. We have a resourceful faculty to provide qualitative teaching and well established computer laboratories with 300 advanced systems, all Pentium, in Net working environment.
